LMCS Successfully Demonstrates Wet Gap Crossing Capability, New Emplacing Method
The Lightweight Modular Causeway System (LMCS) was successfully demonstrated in a wet gap crossing role and a new ship-based emplacing method was introduced during an August and September set of military exercises in Hawaii.
A lightweight, easily deployed, floating roadway, the LMCS is made from floatation bladders with an overlain roadway.
